Why Temple?
In our search for the perfect wedding venue, we both wanted somewhere we had a connnection to (and was big enough to fit you all in!). Philly was called to the Bar in Temple Church and became a Member of Inner Temple in 2009 and Sam was lucky enough to be invited to photograph the amazing Temple Church choir. It soon became apparent that we both already had happy memories of the church and are looking forward to adding to them with you.
Where to Stay
We have reserved a number of rooms at Apex Court hotel, Fleet Street (one minute’s walk from Temple Church) at a price of £179 per night bed and breakfast. To book one of these rooms, please ring Apex Court, central reservation line on 0800 049 8000 and quote code ‘PHI3103’.
We have also reserved a number of rooms (including two family rooms) at Premier Inn London Blackfriars, 1-2 Dorset Rise (three minutes’ walk from Temple Church) on 1st April at a price of £129 per night, room only. Breakfast is available at a price of £10- per adult. To book one of these rooms, please notify Mrs. Patricia Martin-Moran and send her a cheque for £129 per room.
It would help us greatly if those wishing to book the rooms could do so as soon as possible, so that we can reserve additional rooms if need be. Any rooms not reserved by 1st March 2017 will be released. Note that neither hotel has its own parking so it is advised that guests should leave their cars at Inner Temple.

Crown Plaza hotel. 19 New Bridge Street, current room rate, room only £171, with breakfast £189. Five minutes’ walk from Temple Church and close to Blackfriars station.
Grange St Paul’s hotel, 10 Godliman Street, current room rate £155, room only. 8 minutes walk from Temple church and close to London Blackfriars station.
Novotel London Blackfriars, 46 Blackfriars Road,SE1 8NZ, current room rate £132 (tripadvisor).
Mondrian hotel, 20 Upper Ground, SE1 9PD, tel. 0808234 9523, current room rate £199.
Timings
The service starts at 2pm and there will be light refreshments before the wedding breakfast in the early evening. As someone who likes to make sure she knows when she's going to be eating, Philly would like to recommend that you have lunch before arriving.
There will also be some snacks in the evening to fuel the dancing and merriment.
Evening Guests
Evening guests are more than welcome to come along to the service should they wish. There's plenty of room and we'd love to have as many people as possible there!
Further Fun
We also be having an informal coffee get together in Apex Court Hotel from midday the following day for people to catch up with friends and family from the night before. All welcome!
Dress Code
Gentlemen who have a morning coat and would like to wear it are most welcome to (however please don't feel obliged). Ladies may want to bring some flat shoes for dancing in the evening.
Children
We will have a children’s menu; it would be helpful to know which guests are planning to bring their children so that we can plan a menu which our young guests will enjoy. We also have arranged a fully qualified crèche, including games and activities for children in a room adjacent to the reception room. If you would like to take advantage of this, please could you let us know.
Gifts
